Relax and enjoy stress relief with a gentle massage!

Licensed Massage Therapy
Massage is the most fundamental of all healing techniques.  It is so basic to nature that we do it automatically.

The nurturing touch is simple and more powerful than we can imagine.  Some studies on touch show that it reduces stress, alleviates depression, reduces pain, boosts the immune system, and helps premature babies catch up in their development.

With touch we love, communicate, and nurture one another.  Massage is not just a profession for a special few; it is part of the healing touch we all possess.

Because massage is naturally healing, its therapeutic use dates back as far as mankind.  Ancient medical journals describe how and when massage should be used.

In the 1800's, a new interest in massage was started in Sweden, and today there are many popular methods of therapeutic massage and bodywork.

Massage professionals have spent years observing the benefits of using certain strokes and have developed systematic techniques to relieve the pain and stress of mankind.

How is a Massage Done?
During a massage, you are draped with a sheet.  As a body segment is massaged, it is uncovered, then draped after.  Most people prefer to wear their underwear.  Your comfort and privacy are assured.  Hypoallergenic oil is used.

Conditions that can benefit from Massage include:
Back pain
Osteoarthritis
Constipation

Massage therapy and headaches
Headaches are one of the most common forms of pain.
Massage addresses tension headaches by relaxing the neck and shoulders.  Sinus headaches are best addressed by face massage.  Migraine headaches can be caused by pinching of nerves in the neck, or by chemical imbalances.  Massage can help problems by releasing those affected muscles.

A few tips about massage:
Drink 1-2 glasses of purified water after your treatment to remove irritants from the body
Rest for at least 1/2 hour after the massage to encourage healing
Sometimes muscles may be sore the day after the treatment but is lessened by proper post-massage care, and regular visits

60 minute foot treatment $30

Payment methods at this time are with cash or cheque.
Payments are received after each session.  A receipt is issued, and can be submitted to your private or group insurance provider for reimbursement.

Debra Lynn has been practicing massage and reflexology since 1997 and licensed through the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners of Canada.  She is a second generation herbalist, with over 20 years experience.  She has been a Certified Fitness Instructor since 1989 and holds a degree in Exercise Kinesiology from the University of Winnipeg, along with her Pre-Medicine Studies.

Learn how to lower personal lifestyle health risks factors through a private lifestyle consultation session!

Options options options
The assessment and training can happen in the convenience of your own home, in our Wellness Centre or even at your local gym.
Programs can be created to accommodate your busy work/travel schedule or while away on holidays

Foundations of Foot Reflexology

For thousands of years humanity has relied on natural methods of healing. Reflexology is a long-lived study of the inter-relation between pedal points and the body’s response to pressure application. This workshop covers the fundamental basis of treatments, utilizing a mapping system for the feet and manual techniques applied. You will learn where to locate reflex points, how to apply pressure to specific areas, contraindications, and homecare. A practical portion will be included to allow for experiential learning.
